Dear colleague,
More than one year ago, based on genuine concern about diabetes
spread in India, a group of enthusiasts have decided that we
will develop and deliver ADIT (Advances in Diabetes and Insulin
Therapy) conference in India.
The goal was to overcome the barrier to the newest science and
technologies developments, imposed to majority of medical
practitioners in India, due to lack of funds available for
education and travelling abroad. In addition, we want to
initiate the process of bringing more international, independent
conferences like ADIT to India.
Knowledge, awareness, and education are the keys to successful
prevention and treatment of diabetes. Only a doctor who is aware
of newest and multiple possible therapies, can provide the best
care for his patient.
Conferences like ADIT create the unique opportunity to exchange
and compare the knowledge and clinical experiences among
international and Indian medical professionals.
Unfortunately, the system to deliver proper education to
patients, medical professionals and doctors, is still developing
in India. Because of that, it is important to bring
international clinical science, experiences, and speakers to
India. The exchange of knowledge among medical professionals can
improve the health care and prevention of diabetes spread in
India.
In cooperation with leading Indian diabetologists, we want to
create an annual, scientific independent conference, which will
introduce the latest medical developments in the world to
substantial number of Indian doctors in India itself. The
benefits of such conference for patients, doctors, and public in
a way of healthcare quality improvement are tremendous.
Sincerely,
Assist. Prof. Andrej Janež, MD, PhD Prof. Željko Metelko, MD, PhD Conference Chairman Conference Co-Chairman
